The Cinematic Experience
The impact of a Cinematic Yacht tour is based around a key piece of equipment - The GlideCam. This equipment is used in the
motion picture industry to produce gliding, butter smooth camera movements. This technology allows our camera operator to
"fly" the camera through the entire ship, moving through hallways, floating down stairs and panning through staterooms all
with track-like smoothness. It's a dramatic filmmaking technique that immediately grabs the viewer and leaves a lasting impression.
Aerial Platform
Shipboard walkthroughs tell part of the story, but nothing matches the visual impact of seeing a ship under way from the air.
Marine Movies uses a specialized Hughes / MD-500 helicopter outfitted with a sophisticated gyro stabilization unit to ensure
our footage is rock solid. Our pilot is a 15 year veteran of the motion picture industry and knows how to put the camera
in the right place at the right time. It's a unique skill few rotary aircraft pilots have.
